Proximity
Cards contain small transponders that identify the
user with the system. The
"proximity" aspect is that the user needs to be near the
reader in order to permit access. These magnetic
cards are much like credit cards with magnetic
strips which stores the owner's identification. They are easy to carry and can be printed with the
user's photo
for additional security.
This same
proximity access technology can be used in other shapes such as
Key Fobs, which are similar to car
alarm transponders, The key fob offers the same advantages as proximity cards, but
are more durable, providing the perfect solution for traveling
employees who require additional security clearances.
For
higher-level security, Biometric
Access Control Systems use a distinct body part for
identification such as fingerprint readers, hand scanners and even retinal scanners are available
- making entry requirements are next to impossible to steal or fake
for the ultimate security solution.

If
biometric systems are more than your requirement, Kolram offers a
variety of flexible and affordable Keypads
access control solutions. With keypads, you can
assign numerical pins to individuals or groups - permitting access
to designated areas - all through code access.

And if you want to implement a higher level of security access, the
Hirsch Scramble Pad Keypad/Reader provides a
practical security approach to prevent onlookers from stealing a
users code, by randomly scrambling the location of the numbers on
the keypad fore each user.
